Terms & Condition
Effective Date: 19 September 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the agreement between you (“the Client”) and WPSiteSupport regarding WordPress design, maintenance, SEO, technical support, and related services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
WPSiteSupport provides a range of WordPress services, including website design and development, ongoing maintenance and security monitoring, SEO improvements, e-commerce support, and technical troubleshooting. We always aim to deliver high-quality work; however, performance, speed, and search rankings may be affected by external factors such as hosting providers, third-party plugins or themes, and client-supplied content.
2. Payments
Project fees are set out in your quote or invoice. Larger projects typically require a 40% deposit before work begins, while smaller monthly plans may require a reduced upfront payment. Ongoing services such as maintenance packages are billed monthly or as otherwise agreed. Any third-party costs, such as premium plugins or themes, must be covered by the client. Payments must be made on time, and WPSiteSupport reserves the right to suspend services in cases of late or missed payment.
3. Disclaimers
We follow industry best practices to ensure your website is secure, reliable, and well-optimised, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, complete protection from cyberattacks, or specific performance outcomes. Results may vary depending on hosting environments, third-party tools, and client actions.
4. SEO Liability
WPSiteSupport provides SEO services using established best practices and up-to-date techniques. However, search engine optimisation depends on many factors beyond our control, including search engine algorithms, competitor activity, hosting environments, and client-provided content. We do not guarantee particular rankings, traffic volumes, or conversion rates. Any improvements in visibility or performance are estimates and cannot be assured. Clients are responsible for ensuring that any content, keywords, or strategies they request comply with applicable laws and search engine guidelines. WPSiteSupport accepts no liability for penalties, ranking losses, or account restrictions caused by algorithm changes, policy updates, or client actions.
5. Limitation of Liability
WPSiteSupport cannot be held responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as lost business, revenue, or data. While we may provide backup services, clients remain responsible for keeping their own copies of important data. Our maximum liability for any direct claim is limited to the total fees paid for the specific service in question.
6. Copyright & Ownership
All designs, code, and content created by WPSiteSupport remain our property until full payment has been received. Once paid in full, ownership of the delivered website is transferred to the client, except for third-party plugins, themes, or media, which remain subject to their own licences. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, WPSiteSupport may display completed projects in our portfolio or marketing materials.
7. Maintenance & Support
Our maintenance services may include updates, backups, performance checks, and security monitoring. While we take care to prevent and resolve issues, not all problems can be avoided, especially those arising from external plugins, hosting providers, or client modifications. Clients must provide timely access and information to allow us to deliver support effectively.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information, keep access credentials secure, and maintain their hosting and domain registrations. Timely approvals and communication are required to prevent project delays. Our services must not be used for unlawful purposes.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate an agreement by providing written notice. All outstanding fees remain payable. WPSiteSupport reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for non-payment, misuse, or breach of these Terms.
10. Privacy
We collect only the information necessary to provide services, such as names, contact details, and website content. WPSiteSupport complies with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will never share your personal data without consent, except where required by law or to deliver contracted services.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Clients will be notified of significant updates by email or via our website.
13. Refunds
Payments made to WPSiteSupport are generally non-refundable. Deposits secure project time and resources and therefore cannot be returned once work has started. For fixed-fee projects, refunds may only be considered if no substantial work has been carried out, and any refund will be limited to the portion of work not yet performed, at WPSiteSupport’s discretion. For ongoing monthly services, clients may cancel with written notice in line with the agreed terms, but services already provided within the billing period are non-refundable. Third-party costs, such as premium plugins, themes, or licences, are non-refundable once purchased.
